How To Fix Low Voltage On 12 Volt Pin Inside 7-Way On a 2007 Chevy Silverado
Question:
Hi, I have a 40amp fuse in the stud 1 position and the wire is also connected. When I ready off of the 7pin I’m only getting 2-3v and not 12v. Do you know what would cause that? Also if I pull the fuse out I get a 0v read in the 7pin.

The issue you are having with the lack of current on the 12 volt pin inside the 7-way on your 2007 Chevy Silverado could be attributed to either a wire short or computer issue but I have not heard of this issue specifically. I really don't have too many fixes for this either but in order to avoid having to go to the dealer you can just run your own circuit from the 12 volt pin on the 7-way to the battery with primary wire part # 10-1-1 and a circuit breaker part # 9510. If you want the circuit to shut-off with the ignition then you also need a battery isolater part # PK5231201.
