Is Spring Still Needed in Manual Awning When Upgrading to Power Awning Conversion Kit
Question:
Is the torsion spring in my manual awning roller necessary on a power awning kit using the same awning and roller or should it be removed?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The torsion spring you are referring to will no longer be needed when you are upgrading from a manual pull-style awning to a power awning with the Solera Manual Pull Style to Power Awning Conversion Kit # LC329250.
If you take a look at the cut out of the instructions I added, you can see that the spring is actually going to be removed.
