What Would Cause Trailer Taillights to All Turn Off When Headlights Turn On
Question:
2000 GMC YUKON XL1500, when i plug in my RV hook uo the lights all work fine. When i turn on the light switch, then the rv lights go out... I have checked the vehicle ground and its clean and good.

What you described is a classic insufficient ground scenario for the trailer wiring. The solution is to improve the main ground connections that run from the trailer's connector to the trailer frame and the issue will go away.
Why this happens is that when you have the headlights on you are drawing the most amperage so if there's an insufficient ground this is when this will show up.
