You won't have any problems using the Extra Long Ball Mount, # BM20 by Brophy, on your 2012 Chrysler Town and Country as long as you have a 2-inch receiver on your hitch. This ball mount has a 10,000 lb gross trailer weight capacity and a 1,000 lb tongue weight capacity. Be sure you do not exceed the capacity of the lowest rated item while towing. You may also want a hitch ball, # 19247 or #19260.
If you want to know the measurement for the extension, then you will want to start from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch and measure out 13-1/4 inches. That will give you the center of the hitch ball where your trailer coupler will attach.
I have attached an article for you to check out showing how to measure for the correct ball mount rise and drop. This ball mount has a rise of 3/4 inch and a drop of 2 inches.
Ground clearance could be an issue when going over speed bumps, entering steep drives or navigating deep dips with the low position of the hitch and the extra length of the ball mount
