Can 16K Reese 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider Fit a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2' Bed

Will the Reese 30051 hitch work on a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 crewcab diesel with 6-1/2' bed

The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider # RP30051 was designed for pickups with a 6-1/2' bed like what you have with your 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500. It provides turning clearance for sharp turns so that your trailer doesn't make contact with your truck cab. You just need a base rail kit to install the hitch. I recommend the Reese # RP50064-58 because this is a custom kit that doesn't require you to drill into the frame of your pickup.
With all of that being said, it looks like you have a tool box in the back of your pickup. Unless you plan on removing it I'm not sure if this 5th wheel hitch will fit properly. I have attached a clip from the installation instructions showing where the base rails need to be positioned in the bed of your pickup. If the base rails will fit with the tool box but just barely then I recommend using the Curt A16 # C16521 instead of the Reese that you mentioned because the Reese option has the release/engage handle for the jaws sticking out past the rails just a little whereas the Curt I mentioned doesn't.
