Wiring New 4-Way to Trailer with 5 Wires Ran to 4-Way
Question:
Jameson, are you saying I need to split the brown/yellow (tying the brown portion to brown wire and yellow to yellow) and split the brown/green (tying the brown portion to the other two browns and the green wire to green)? Or, are you saying the take the combo brown/yellow and combo brown/green and connect them to the brown wire? I did the first scenario but still don't have running lights.

Your trailer with 5 wires does not need a 5-way. It needs both of the running light circuit wires brown/green and brown/yellow ran to the same brown wire on the trailer wiring. This will allow both sides of the running lights circuit to function.
