I do have a great solution for you, however the Convert-A-Ball Dual-Cushioned Adjustable Ball Mount # CAB-UM that you referenced cannot be used with a weight distribution system, in large part because of its adjustment hole spacing. Just about any weight distribution shank features adjustment holes that are spaced 1-1/4 inches apart, on center. The shank for the Convert-A-Ball features adjustment holes are are spaced apart by 1-1/2 inches.
This simply means that the holes will not line up to the mounting bracket on a standard WD head.
We do have the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Weight Distribution Shank # AMAC1 though that will work perfectly. This unit features the same polyurethane interior as the ball mount you were looking at to help reduce bounce and vibration, as well as the needed adjustment hole spacing. It has a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and a tongue weight limit of 2,000 pounds.
I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
