What Hardware is Needed for the Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head Coupler With Wedge Latch
Question:
Do the frame attachment bolts come with the coupler? If not, what size and stength and how many bolts are needed. Are they available to order online? Thanks for your help.

The Bulldog Heavy-Duty A-Frame Coupler, # BD44150WH301, does not come with the attachment bolts. I have attached two images showing the bolt pattern measurements and the bolt hole sizes. I would recommend using grade 8 bolts, but grade 5 is acceptable and the amount of bolts you will need will depend on how you plan on mounting the coupler.
I would recommend using the bolt holes on the side of the coupler to mount to your trailer. I spoke with my contact for Bulldog and he said you will need 10 bolts 3/8 inch bolts for the smaller diameter holes and two 1/2 inch bolts for the larger diameter holes. If you also wanted to use the three bolt holes on top, then you will want two more 3/8 inch bolts and one 5/8 inch bolt. We do not sell the bolts separately, but they can be purchased at your local hardware store.
