How to Have 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Active on 7-Way of 2017 Ford Super Duty at All Times

Question:

I have a 2017 Ford super duty with the factory uplifters switches the one switch is a 40 amp that you can make continuously hot if the switch is in the and position. So if I wire that switch and splice in to the bumper seven pin for the interior lights on the trailer would that work this way I can turn the lights on or off from inside the trailer because it will always have power when I have the uplift her switch in the on position

Yes, but you'll have to do some wiring. What you'll need is enough 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) to go from the positive post of your vehicle battery to the 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way (1:00 position) and have a circuit breaker like part # 9510 installed inline and you'd be set. You'd have a 40 amp 12 volt accessory circuit active all the time.

Yes that would work. It would be a matter of running 10 gauge wire from the power post of the switch you have to the 1:00 pin of your 7-way and that switch would then be what activates the circuit.
