Wiring Converter for Motorcycle With 5-Flat To Tow Trailer With 4-Flat
Question:
4 flat trailer to a 5 flat motorcycle. I have a trailer with 4 flat with 6 wires coming out of it and it Indian Motorcycle with a 5 wire plug its a 2016 roadmaster I know the colors on my plug and what they control on the motorcycle I dont know on the trailer what the 6 wires control I was told i needed to seperate the turn signals from the brake lights. Do i need to add any wires? Or are the existing wires going to be enough? Thank you

You are correct that you do need to separate the signals so you can connect your trailer with a 4-flat to your motorcycle that has a 5-flat. All you need is the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter # RM-732 to accomplish this as it will combine the bike's wiring and keep your 5-way.
The reason is the 5-flat on your motorcycle has turn signals and brake light signals on separate circuits while your trailer uses combined circuits for those so the converter will turn the separate signals on your motorcycle and combine them so they are compatible with your trailer.
Your other option is to remove your bike's 5-way and hardwire in the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector # 119178KIT to give your motorcycle a matching 4-way.
I have added a link to a video review as well as a link to the instruction manual for you to take a look at.
