Where Does 4-Way of 2007 Nissan Murano Store

Question:

You have excellent videos of how to install the custom wiring harnesses. But I have yet to find one which tells you a good way to run the 4-way connector out the vehicle and into the bracket. They all just say leave it inside the vehicle and take it out when you need it. Isnt the point of the bracket so you have it outside all the time? How do I get the 4-way out of the vehicle so I can mount it in the bracket. Are the grommets large enough to put the connector through? Or do I need to cut the 5 wires and splice them all? You can see in the picture, where does the wiring come from? this is in regards to a 2007 Nissan Murano....

Having the 4-way run out of the back hatch is actually the preferred method although it seems like it wouldn't be. Having the 4-way stored inside the cab of the vehicle keeps it protected from rain and moisture to prevent corrosion and keeps it protected from damage to the wiring or connector by rocks or debris that might be on the highway.

We see trailer wiring issues here daily and most of them are caused by corrosion in the trailer wiring pins due to the connector be stored outside of the vehicle exposing it to the elements. This is why we strongly recommend storing the 4-way of part # C49KR for your 2007 Nissan Murano in the interior.
