Brake Controller Solution for 2010 Lexus GX-460 That Does Not Require Modifying Dash
Question:
Not wanting to install knob on dash, where else is preferred location for unit pieces, given the wiring harness/plug in is under dash near left foot. How easy is this unit to get in place? Are there pitfalls to be warned of? Im pretty handy, but dont want to screw this DIY up. Thanks in advance!

Before getting into install locations for the knob of the Curt Spectrum part # C51170 you might be best off with the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 instead as this controller plugs into the 7-way at the rear of your vehicle and once you sync your phone to it you are ready to tow without needing to wire anything or modify your vehicle in any way.
But back to the knob location for the Spectrum...you could mount it near the AC controls on the center console like in the picture I attached or some run it to the center divider between the front seats.
