What Is the Correct 5th Wheel Install Kit for a 2001 Ford F-350

Question:

What frame bracket kit do I need to fit the above mentioned truck? I see several options but theres nothing explaining the differences. Im just looking to mount a standard non sliding fifth wheel for very occasional use.

There are two types of install kits for your 2001 Ford F-350, custom fit kits which do not require any drilling into the frame and universal kits which do require drilling into the frame. That said, each brand is going to offer a universal and custom fit kit for your F-350 which is why you see so many options. I recommend the Reese Universal Installation Kit part # RP30035 which requires drilling into the frame or the Reese Custom Installation Kit part # RP50082-58 which does not require drilling into the frame. The universal kits are going to be more cost effective than the custom kits.
