Yes, the process to install a 7-way and brake controller will be the same on a 2008 and 2015 Lexus RX 350. This process entails obtaining both the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7L and the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. Once you have these two components which is all you will need, the only things you will need to do to get it all working are as follows:

1) Mount the 7-way adapter to the trailer hitch or under the rear bumper using the included bracket.
2) Plug in the 7-way adapter to the existing 4-way.
3) Attach the white wire with ring terminal to a bare metal surface within reach using the included self-tapping screw.
4) Tape up and tie off the blue and yellow wires.
5) Attach the loose black wire to the black wire coming from the back of the 7-way, then route up along frame (parking brake cable is best) up into the engine bay and then connect to battery using the included circuit breaker and ring terminals.

The Curt Echo is unique in that it does not require any other connections to be made. If you were not using the Curt Echo then you would have to run the blue wire we tapped off up into the cab and then you would also have to run another power and ground wire to the battery from the cab as well as splicing into a wire behind the brake pedal which is much more difficult than the above process.
