Solution for Atwood RV Landing Gear that Isn't Working with Stromberg Replacement Parts

Question:

we have 2001 mountain air 5th wheel. We have replaced LG 179015 GEARBOX, LG 196308 MOTOR, AND LC 146060 BEVEL GEARS. Something is jamming and the legs wont go up or down even with the hand crank. It is making a loud noise when I try to do it with the motor. Any ideas that would help me? Do you need more info? Do the parts look correct? Thank you for any help you can give.

The replacement/repair parts you mentioned weren't intended for use on Atwood landing gear jacks like what you have. The issue is most likely related to that. So since Atwood is out of business and the repair parts you mentioned are most likely still good your best option would be to replace the legs of the jacks so that you aren't buying parts again.

So for a new driver leg you'd want the part # LG-179013 and then for a follow leg part # LG-179014 and you'd have all new parts that work with the new parts you bought and will also fit your fifth wheel trailer.
