For your 2013 Volvo S60 I actually recommend just going with the Draw-Tite Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75916. This 2 inch hitch essentially has an identical mounting bracket design to the Curt 1-1/4" Hitch # C12066 you referenced, so it's not going to stick out any further. In fact based on installations we have performed with both hitches the Draw-Tite will likely be a bit more recessed behind the bumper than the smaller Curt model.

A 2" receiver is going to open up the door to a lot more accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers so this is your best option. There are adapters available to expand a 1-1/4 inch receiver to a 2 inch opening, such as with the Brophy # HTAD, but using these reduces the hitch's weight capacity by 50 percent and adds some instability to the connection so it's best to avoid using one if possible.

I have attached the written installation instructions for the Draw-Tite hitch that you can also take a look at.

The Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 75916 and the Curt Class II # C12066 are going to sit in the same place in relation to the rear bumper on your 2013 Volvo S60. In the video you mentioned we did call out the flush design of the Curt hitch in particular but this was because we had actually gotten the chance to install it on the S60. We have not had the chance to install the Draw-Tite # 75916 on this vehicle so we weren't able to physically demonstrate its position in relation to the bumper. Its mounting brackets and overall design through are almost identical to the Curt hitch so there isn't going to be a noticeable difference. The only change you will get is slightly less ground clearance with the Draw-Tite Class III simply because of the larger 2 inch receiver.
