How To Use a Curt A20 Slider Hitch with the Reese Elite Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit

Question:

I would like to install your Reese #RP30074 into my 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with a 66inch box. My goal is to cleanup my bed from the above bed cross rails that are there for the Curt A20 Slider I own. I would rather not by a brand new Reese Hitch System, since I have a very nice, and new, Curt Slider A20 that was on the cross rails. Does Reesesfoot puck pattern and/or puck design work with Curt arms? If I were to buy the arms for the A20 that fit the OEM Ram system, would it connect, or would I maybe have to by Reese pucks too?

I have two options for you to use the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16541 with the Reese Elite Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit part # RP30074 on your 2012 Ram 2500. The first option is to use an adapter, the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter part # RP30156. The other option is to replace the slider base, the Curt 5th Wheel Round Tube Slider for Ford Super Duty Towing Prep Package part # C16020 is actually what you would need as the Reese Elite Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit has the Ford Puck spacing not the Ram Puck spacing.
