Replacement Trailer Side 4-Way With 5 Wires

Question:

cannot find any diagram with this type of wiring or a replacement with this type 5 wire color code wiring to a 4 way pin to purchase connector broken on 5 way trailer wire 2 white,2 brown, 1 green to a 4 way pin

It sounds like you need a Wishbone Trailer Wiring Harness part # A35W42B to replace your 4-way flat on the trailer. You most likely have 2 tail light wires on your existing harness, a ground, a passenger side/stop turn and a driver side stop/turn. You could also have 2 grounds but that is unlikely. The only way to know which wires carry which functions is with a 12V battery and a jumper wire. Touch one end of the jumper wire to the positive side of the battery then touch the other end of the wire to all of the different wires to see which circuit illuminates.

You can match up the wiring on your trailer with the functions of the wishbone:

White - ground
Brown - tail lights
Yellow - driver side stop/turn
Green - passenger side stop/turn

If it turns out you have 2 grounds, I recommend Mighty Cord Wishbone 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector part # A10-4225VP and you can combine the 2 grounds.
