Front Covers of Roof Rack Legs on Rhino 2500 Roof Rack Will Not Attach on 2007 Lexus IS 250

Question:

After assembling the Rhino 2500 two bar euro system and clamping it to the roof of my 2007 is250 lexus the clamp angle was such that I couldnt attach the front covers to the legs. How do I correct this problem? I assume that the grooves on the bottom of the rubber pads fit into the cars roof channel.

I would first recommend to check the part numbers of your Rhino roof rack to make sure you have the correct fit for your 2007 Lexus IS 250. The black crossbars should be part # RRVA118B-2, you should also have part # RRRLKVA for the legs, and the clamps and pads should be part # DK241.

If the part numbers are correct then you will want to make sure the clamps and pads are assembled correctly. The part # DK241 rubber pads are specific to each corner of the vehicle on the Lexus IS 250, so you will want to check the part number of the rubber pad and make sure it is positioned correctly on the vehicles roof. The grooves on the rubber pads of your part number do go into the vehicles roof channel, but they have to be fitted to the correct corner of the vehicle.

I am including a link to the installation instructions on the # DK241 clamps and pads. The instructions will show where each rubber pad will go on your Lexus and how to attach them to the vehicle.

I am also including a link to a video that will show in detail how to assemble the Rhino roof rack for a vehicle.
