What Does Wire Loom of Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Kit # 118472 Install into on 2011 Ford Flex
Question:
In your video for installation of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # 118472 on a 2011 Ford Flex, it shows them using a self drilling screw to secure the wiring in a nylon wire loom clamp. Its not clear from the video what he drills into. Any suggestions? is a zinc-plated screw OK for this, or should I use stainless steel?

Expert Reply:
The plastic wire loom that our installer attaches in the install video for the Tekonsha trailer wiring kit part # 118472 is getting attached to the trunk floor. I'd rather recommend you use a stainless steel screw for this instead of a zinc plated one since stainless is better at fighting corrosion.
