Is There Normally Play In Rear Hanger of Slipper Springs

Question:

I’m replacing slipper leaf springs on my boat trailer. Is there suppose to be a half inch of movement on the slipper end? Thanks,

Slipper springs do have a looser connection on the rear of them based on how they are designed. I am not sure exactly where the extra half inch of movement is that you referenced but if it's a vertical movement that's pretty standard.

If you can get me the width of your springs, the length, and the axle capacity I can recommend you the best option we have! I attached a link to a page that has all of the slipper springs we carry as well. You need to select your axle capacity first, and then the length and width that matches the best to see the correct fitting springs.
