Does Supplemental Transmission Cooler Replace Factory Cooler of 1996 Ford F-150
Question:
I’m assuming that this kit will bypass the radiator, what is used to plug the existing transmission ports on the radiator?
asked by: Royce
Expert Reply:
Ideally you actually install supplemental transmission coolers like the Derale part # D13504 after the factory cooler so that you get the cooling power of both coolers. This means you would not have to plug the ports on your radiator.
You will also want the install fittings part # D13014 and # D13024 to make connecting your radiator as easy as possible and you'd be set.
