Slightly Wider and Taller Trailer Tire/Wheel Recommendation for Replacing 4.80-12

Question:

Hello. Currently have 4.80x12 rims tires supporting “2” jet skis. I really would prefer a wider tire. Is there a wider tire in this size range? Its ok if it’s a little bigger too cause I have some inches to spare before it touches the trailer wheel well. I really don’t feel safe with this narrow of a tire. I know it’s strong but I can’t confirml this was original size for this trailer as I bought it like this. I’ve seen these size tires in a single ski trailer. This is a double ski. About 600lbs per ski without the weight of the dual trailer. So wider 12” is t even a 8” in a much bigger size will do. Also I need it to be galvanized 5x4.5 lug pattern

The best option for you is going to be the tire size ST145/R12 as this has a section width of 5.7 inches which is about an inch wider than what you have now and is only .8 inch taller in diameter than what you have currently as well.

For a wheel and tire in this size that will work great we have the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" Galvanized Spoke Wheel # AM31202 which matches the other things you requested as well as it has a galvanized wheel and a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

The weight capacity of this is also 1,220 lbs. I attached a review video for this setup for you to check out as well.
