Troubleshooting Tail Light Issue on a 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited

Question:

I’m not to sure what I can do, time is and issue. I just installed the harness and everything work fine but the back driverside cruising light seem to have a short. So I went to take the light out. When doing so *all lights* came on like it should but when I went to put it back it went out... it did that a couple of time berfore I realized it was the 3 brown wires splice together so I redone it and now it work but the same light *side* cruising light still won’t come on, even if I wiggle the wires around. I also plugged the light back into the way it was before so know it not my original light or harness I haven’t hook up to a trailer yet

I recommend you check all the connection points on # C56407 on the Jeep side and the new harness side for any bent pins, corrosion, or debris that could be the cause. Bent pins are sometimes the cause of these types of issues since they're so small and may not be making a good connection. If you find any, just gently straighten them out and reconnect the harness and then test again.
