Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2019 Buick Regal TourX
Question:
Is there a required separate wiring kit, or are there wires in the original harness tucked up in there as on some other vehicles Ive owned

Based on my research your 2019 Buick Regal TourX doesn't come from the factory with a pre-installed trailer wiring connecter but one can be easily added. For this I recommend the Curt T-One Wiring Harness # C56389.
This custom harness simply gets plugged into existing ports behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. After running the hot lead up to the battery you will have a fully functional 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can also look through along with an installation video on a similar 2018 model.
The Curt Class II Receiver Hitch # C12173 that you were also looking at is a perfect choice for your Buick and it will line right up to existing holes in the frame rails for a simple bolt-on (no drill) installation.
