Recommended Hitch Extension for Towing Boat Trailer With Camper in Bed of 2017 Ram 1500

I just bought lance 650 truck camper and need to know what length of extension I need..Mounted on a 2017 dodge 1500 5.5 bed..camper hangs over 12 inch from face of trailer receiver..I tow a 21 foot bass boat

We do have a few options you can choose from but it is worth noting that a hitch extender will reduce the overall weight capacity of the trailer hitch on your 2017 Ram 1500.

I recommend either using the Brophy 18" Extender with step# ST18 or the Buyers Products 18 " Extender with Step # 3371804017. Both products give you 18" of extra clearance (from center of hitch pin hole to center of hitch pin hole). The Buyers Products extender reducse the overall weight capacity by about 35%. The Brophy extender reduces the overall capacity by 33-1/3 %.
