After reviewing the owner's manual for your 2017 Honda Fit for extended towing you will need to remove the 20 amp accessory power socket and 7.5 amp ACC fuses on the interior fuse box. You will also will remove the 15 amp back up fuse located in the engine compartment fuse box. To make this process easier, I highly recommend adding the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse # RM76511, the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicle - (2) 20-Amp ATM Mini-Fuses # RM76512,
If you need any other parts to flat tow your Honda Fit, below are a few of my recommendations.
The Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-521569-4 are great base plates are custom fit with hidden brackets to provide a sleek look. I recommend the Roadmaster # RM-643 for a safety cable kit. The Roadmaster Falcon 2 # RM-520 has a 6,000 pound capacity with telescoping arms that provide better maneuverability and smoother towing experience. The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flex-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 allow you to use your vehicle's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from the RV.
I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR for a braking system. A proportional system will physically press down on the brake pedal in your Honda Fit at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your RV.
Lastly, you will likely need a high-low adapter in order to keep your tow bar level. I have attached a listing from our page of potential high-low adapters that fit your Honda Fit.
Only the manual transmission models of the Honda Fit can be towed behind a motorhome with all four wheels on the ground. I highly recommend checking your copy of the owner's manual to verify this information and for any other guidelines and steps regarding flat towing the vehicle.
