Can Spring Centers on 3,500 lb Dexter Axle be Changed to Match Lasalle Axle 537274
Question:
Checking the dimensions on the Dexter Dimension B is 74 inches On The Lasalle it is 76 inches Can the axle be purchased with the Brackets loose to be welded on after installation?? or do you have any other recommendations??

While the leaf spring seats on the Dexter Trailer Axle # 35545E-ST-89 come already installed (and can't be ordered any other way), you can have a welder cut them off and weld them back on in the correct locations. This can be a little tricky though as it needs to be precise so you need to make sure whoever does this has experience with trailer axles.
The only way to avoid this is to purchase an axle through a trailer shop or an axle company so everything can be custom-tailored to your application.
