Axle Flip Kit for a 2,000 Lb Trailer Axle with 1-3/4 Inch Diameter  

Question:

Hi I am fixing a utility trailer and Im putting all new leaf springs, axle, wheels and tires, etc. On the U-bolt kit what are the dimensions of the u bolt? Does it fit a 2,000 pound axle or are they for the bigger 3,500+ pound axle? Thanks

I do have an option for you but the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-384-00 is for axles with a 2-3/8" diameter as they measure about 2-3/8" inside to inside so it likely will not work with a 2,000 lb axle which generally has a 1-3/4" diameter. However, you can make your own kit using both the U-Bolt Kit part # APUBR-10 and the Spring Seat part # TRSS175 (2). These two parts could be used to mount the leaf springs either on top or below the axle tube.
