Info Needed to Determine New Truck towing 5th Wheel With Taller Bed Rails will be Issue

Question:

Looking to buy a 17 Ford 350 powerstrke the sidewalls are taller than my old truck, will the camper still clear the sidewalls

Most likely yes but without more info from you it's hard to say for certain as your old and new truck measurements aren't known to me. Ideally you need to have at least 4-6 inches of clearance from the truck bed rails to the overhang of the trailer so that there isn't a clearance issue. You also need to have the trailer sitting as level as possible.

To help you get a more definite answer to your question I'd need to know the current bed rail to overhang clearance that you have now, the difference in bed rail height between the two trucks, as well as the difference in truck bed heights.
