There are two methods of monitoring your transmission temperature of your 2010 Dodge Ram.

The easiest way would be to use a performance monitor like # EP84030, which can be used to monitor up to 8 parameters at once. The monitor would be able to read your transmission temperature right out of the box with no other parts needed. The monitor can actually read dozens of different parameters directly from the vehicle's ECM. The unit simply plugs into the OBD connector under the dash.

Another option would be an analog gauge like # D13009 which would be a lower tech and less expensive choice but would involve a more complicated install.

If your budget isn't an urgent concern, I'd recommend using the performance monitor.
