What is Wire Labeled Brose in Rear Bumper of 2017 Honda CR-V
Question:
Honda 2017 CRV touring with navigation. Does not have hands-free rear hatch opening sensors. What is the cable running along the bumper fascia. It is approximately one-quarter inch in diameter slightly smaller and is black plastic coated. I cut it by accident. It is a braided metal cable with a center of hard black plastic with a black plastic outer cover. It terminates about 1 foot past the tow loop on the passenger side. No connection , just a black cap over the end of the cable. The other end has two small wires approximately 16 gauge terminating into a connection on the driver side.

Looks like Brose (the brand I see in the picture you sent in) makes hands free lift gate sensors for Honda. Most likely the wiring was installed on your vehicle as that may have been the easiest solution but the wires don't connect to anything which is why when you cut yours nothing happened.
