Do the Surco # 52018 and Pro Series # 63153 Cargo Carriers Require Assembly
Question:
Is the pro series 63153 basically the same product as the C18150 and do they both need assembled?

Expert Reply:
Both carriers would require assembly.
The Curt Cargo Carrier, # C18150 is similar to the Pro Series # 63153 Cargo Carrier you mentioned. The #C18150 is manufactured by a different company, and although the two carriers share similar dimensions, there are a few differences. The Curt carrier is one inch less wide and has a straight shank, while the Pro Series carrier has an angled shank that raises the cargo carrier 2-1/2 inches above the receiver which allows for greater ground clearance. The Curt carrier has built in reflectors and the Pro Series has an optional light kit available, part # 20174.
They both are steel constructed and have 500 pound weight capacity.
