Is A Separate Brake Controller Needed To Triple Tow a Trailer With Brakes Behind a Toad Vehicle

If there is an inivisbrake systen in Thor 37gt with chev equnix, do you need brake controller when pulling cargo trailer with electric brakes

Expert Reply:
It sounds like you are trying to triple tow a vehicle and trailer behind your motorhome and control the electric brakes on the trailer. If that is the case then the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System part # RM-8700 would not activate these brakes and you would need a separate brake controller for this.
The best option for you would be to use the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 on the back of your 2013 Chevrolet Equinox that way you do not have to run a wire from the trailer all the way up to the motorhome. If the 12 volt pin on the 7-way of your Equinox is not active while the vehicle is in tow mode then you will need to run your own wire to the vehicle's battery with part # 10-1-1 and part # 9510.
