should I put my 2007 GMC Sierra in 4 wheel drive Auto on pulling a heavy load bumper trailer long distance from Tennessee to Arkansas

I checked out the online version of the owner's manual and it looks like for your 2007 GMC Sierra Classic then you want to use the Tow/Haul mode for heavy towing and/or shift the transmission to 3rd or lower if it is shifting too often. Aside from that though it doesn't state anything about 4WD so I wouldn't worry about it.
You may consider adding a transmission cooler like the Derale # D13502 to help keep your transmission from overheating and making your engine work harder. If you have the 5/8" hex on your transmission line then you do need the # D13018 fitting for this installation.
