According to Roadmaster, your Stowmaster Tow Bar is indeed compatible with the # 1444-1 tow bar.
In addition to the tow bar and base plates, you'll also need a wiring solution, a braking system and possible a hi-low adapter. For wiring, I'd recommend the Roadmaster # RM-15267 wiring kit. Once installed, the kit is easy to use and the durable flexible umbilical is coiled to prevent dragging. For a braking system, you can't go wrong with the # SM99243 SMI Air Force One supplemental braking system, if the tow vehicle has air brakes or the Roadmaster # RM-8700 Invisibrake for hydraulic brakes. These systems are one-time set up items, after that, either would be ready to go when you are. To determine the Hi-Low adapter needed, measure from the low spot of the underside of the jeep bumper to the ground then from the hitch on the tow vehicle to the ground. Those heights will need to be within 3 inches of each other for safety. If they aren't, you'll want the use the proper adapter to make up that height difference.
I've linked a few articles that I hope you'll find helpful as well as to some installation videos showing some of the products I mentioned being installed.
