Question:

I am a little confused about the measurements, otherwise ready to buy my 2nd hitch. Receiver to floor is 22”. Level trailer hitch to floor is 18”. Current hitch has an 8” drop and 6 3/4” rise.

By 6-1/2 inch, I'm assuming you're speaking of the drop, correct?

You will want to choose a ball mount that has enough drop so that you can tow your trailer so it's level. To determine the necessary drop (or rise) you'll need to find the height difference between your 2 inch receiver tube on your hitch and the underside of the trailer's coupler as outlined in the help article I've linked for you. If your current ball mount has a drop of 6-1/2 inches and tows a trailer so it's level, you'd want to choose something with at least a 6-1/2 inch drop.

The ball mount you mentioned could work for you, but you had said you wanted a three ball option, Part # BWTS10049B would provide a 1-7/8, 2 and 2-5/16 inch trailer ball and can be adjusted for a drop up to 7 inches. This would almost certainly be perfect for your needs, but I'd recommend measuring as outlined in the article to see exactly what rise or drop you need.

So, given the dimensions you provided there's around a 4 inch height difference between the receiver and the trailer coupler, with the receiver being higher. This means you'll need a ball mount that can accommodate at least a 5 inch drop. Either of the two ball mounts I recommended would work, but for greater flexibility you might consider going with the # BWTS10049B and its larger drop. It's not crucial that the trailer and ball mount be 100% level, but you will want to get it as close as possible.
