Should Nylon Bushings on TruRyde Straight Equalizer Be Greased
Question:
should the nylon bushings be greased ?
asked by: Delia B
Helpful Expert Reply:
Applying some grease like # L11316 to the nylon bushings on the TruRyde Straight Equalizer # TREQR83 is a good idea during installation, as it will both allow the shackle bolts to insert with greater ease and will provide good lubrication for the whole assembly.
After the initial install it's recommended to lubricate the equalizers about once every 3 months or 3,000 miles. You can pair the equalizer with some wet bolts like the 3-1/2 inch # 126A1 and a grease gun # L30416 to further simplify this process.
