When the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 says no trailer connection it either means, the trailer is truly not connected to tow vehicle, the trailer is connected with an open circuit on the brake line, the connector is corroded or you have lost your ground connection to the brake magnets so the brake controller is not sensing a trailer with brakes.

We know the trailer connector is seated with the vehicle connector because your trailer lights are fine so we can eliminate that. There could be an issue with the brake line from the brake controller back to the 7-way connector and it's either loose in the connector on the back of the vehicle or the brake line connection at the back of the p3 is loose. You also want to make sure the ground is properly grounded from the brake controller to the negative side of the vehicle battery.

It is a good idea to make sure all of the pins on your 7-way connector are free of corrosion, you can lightly sand any corrosion off with fine grit sand paper. If you check your connector and the pins are free of corrosion and damage (not bent) then you want to check the ground connections at the braking assemblies to make sure they are grounded to a clean bare metal surface or grounded to the trailer's main ground. If your brake magnets do not have a good enough ground, the brake controller may not sense the trailer brakes.

If your vehicle takes a brake controller adapter then there could be fuses that need to be added under the hood or additional connections that need to be made. If you let me know your year, make and model I can help you further with that. I have attached a wiring help article for your reference.
