Connecting Transmission Cooler to 2016 Ford F-150 3.5 Ecoboost
Question:
Hello there. Im having some difficulties with the install. I purchased the Derale Series 8000 Part number 13502 for my 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost. I mounted the cooler and identified the line that goes out from the internal transmission fluid cooler within the radiator. I can get the return line off with my special transmission cooler line disconnect tool, but how do I connect the return hose to the female end of the quick connect transmission line? Is there an adapter? Also the hose seems a bit small, did I buy the wrong cooler? I have attached a picture. The return hose is the one on the right. It flows from right to left.

You need to follow the lines further till you get to the radiator and disconnect them there as that is where the fittings will easier connect. The hose of the # D13502 needs to fit over a threaded fitting and not the type of fitting you have found. If you add the cooler in where the lines attach to the radiator/cooler the fittings will be compatible.
