Installing Prodigy Brake Controller in 2008 Dodge Ram with OEM 7-Way Installed
Question:
I have a 2008 Ram 1500 4x4 where the dealer recently installed the 7 way trailer harness, Mopar part number 82207253ab There is a leftover light blue wire with no connector on the end coming off that harness. I also have the blue 4 pin plug on top of the wiring box under the dash. I want to install a Tekonsha brake controller. I believe I need 3020-P to hook into the four pin blue connector. Where should I connect that light blue wire off the harness the dealer left under my dash? Thanks

Looks like the light blue wire isn't needed and your 7-way and brake controller wiring is totally present after the install of the part number 82207253ab. It's hard for me to look up functions of wire colors on Mopar parts though as we don't have access to them.
Either way we can get you going if for some reason the blue wire is needed but we can first assume it's good as-is and if not then it's an easy fix.
So use the # 3020-P to install a Tekonsha controller like the very popular P3 part # 90195. You should see a connection on the controller when you connect the trailer wiring to your 7-way but in the off chance you do not the blue wire you have needs to be ran up to the cab of your truck and connected to the blue wire of the 90105 and you'd be set.
