Will the Thule Podium Foot Pack Interfere With Sunroof on 2012 Mazda 5 Grand Touring

I spoke with my contact at Thule and they did not have an answer if the sunroof would open with the Thule Podium Roof Mounted Foot Pack, part # TH460R, and Thule Fit Kit, part # THKIT3080, installed on a 2012 Mazda 5 Grand Touring.

I went out in the warehouse and pulled both Thule parts and put them together to measure what the height of the cross bar would be once installed on your roof. The measurement from the bottom of the foot pack on the fit kit to the bottom of the crossbar is 3-3/4 inches.

If you open your sunroof and measure from the center of your vehicles roof, how far up the sunroof will protrude from the top of your vehicles roof. If this measurement is less than 3-3/4 inches, the Thule roof rack would not interfere with the sunroof, when opened.
