The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3670 is a manual slider. For an automatic sliding option for your 2017 Ram 3500 with the factory rail kit you'd want the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550035 with the Ram rail kit adapter part # DM6099 instead.
