How To Determine if Yakima Holdup EVO Bike Rack Will Clear Vehicle When Folded Up

Question:

Will this Yakima HoldUp EVO fit when folded up while mounted on a Toyota Rav4 2012? The 2012 has a spare tire on the back. Thanks!

When the Yakima HoldUp EVO 2 Bike Platform Rack # Y02479 is folded up it has a distance of 8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest portion of the rack. So what you need to do is measure from the center of the hitch pin hole that's on your 2012 Toyota RAV4 out to the furthest point on the rear spare. If that distance is less than 8 inches this rack will easily fit folded up.
