Can Swagman Original 3 Bike Rack Support 49 Pound Bike
Question:
Looking at swagman original 3 bike rack for 2”inch hitch. 1 It’s says 35lbs per bike. More than likely will only have two bikes but one bike is almost 49lbs. The other bike is a woman’s 20” beach cruiser, very light. Will this hold that weight??? 2 Is there a 3 or 2 bike rack for a 2” hitch only that will hold the same weight as above and tilts???? Thank you.....

The Swagman Original 3 Bike Rack # S64152-2 that you referenced does have a 35 pound per bike limit. This means that even though the whole rack itself can technically handle the total weight of your two bikes, the individual cradles aren't designed to support the weight of your heavier 49 pound bike. I cannot recommend using this particular rack for your bikes.
We actually only have one hanging-style bike rack available that's able to support this kind of single bike weight and it is with the Softride Hang2 2-Bike Rack # SR27041. This rack is definitely different in its design. It holds the bikes verrically, but it can handle two bikes that each weigh up to 50 pounds and does feature an upright mast that tilts down and away from the vehicle and lets you access the rear cargo area of your vehicle even with the bikes loaded.
For a more economical option you will need to go with a platform-style carrier like the excellent Hollywood Racks TRS # HR3000. This wheel-mounted rack will allow for easier loading since you won't have to lift your heavier bike up as much like with a hanging-style carrier and its spring pins let you quickly tilt the rack back (with the bikes still loaded) for cargo access. It can secure 2 bikes of up to 50 pounds each.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this carrier that you can also check out.
