Will a Boat Trailer with 6-Blade Connector Work On a F-150 with 7-Way Connector

Question:

My old 2004 truck had a what they call a 6 blade connection,, my new 2019 f150 has what i guess they call a 7 blade connect ?. My question is will the picture i sent with the boat connection work on my new 2019 f150. I have been told both,, yes and no... am confused,, would really appreciate your help. It is a 6 blade connection from the boat,,the center is not used as i do not have surge brakes. It looks messy ,, but thats only electrical grease. Thanks for your help.

I am not familiar with the 6-blade style trailer connector so I would not be able to confirm compatibility. If you have the truck and trailer in one place then I would give them a try to see if they are compatible. The 6-blade looks the same as a 7-blade save for the missing center pin so it should work but the circuits also need to be on the same pins. The best option you have to ensure compatibility is obtain the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector part #PK12706 which I know will work with your 2019 Ford F-150 and it's easy to install.
