Replacing Landing Gear for 2003 Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel

Question:

Fulton landing gear 29 1/2 inch long weld bracket 17 1/2 in inner dimension can find for a 15 inch inner nothing with a 17 inch inner. Do you have a replacement for this model, or know where to get a set?

I have a way for you to replace the landing gear on your 2003 Keystone Cougar, but the original Fulton landing gear set that came on that model camper does not use standard dimensions and is no longer available. Finding a landing gear set that has the 17-1/2" inner weld stop dimension is not going to be easy because according to the Fulton, they were made special for the model frame used on your Keystone Cougar that year. In order to make finding replacement parts easier in the future, your best option is to remove the current frame brackets for the landing gear set and reinstall them at the standard dimensions which I have pictured. Once that is done, you'll have no problem swapping them out in the future with any set that has a 29-1/2" long outer tube.

I recommend the Lippert Electric Landing Gear Set # LC333964 , which comes with a motor, manual crank handle, gearbox, adjustable cross shaft and new frame brackets. This is a good system at a good price. If you'd prefer the manual option you would need the Lippert Manual Landing Gear Set # LC 333966 . These systems both have 29-1/2" outer tube and 15-1/2" inner weld stop measurements. They will provide enough lift and weight capacity for your Keystone Cougar.
