Reese Swagman Outfitter 4 Bike Carrier Tow Ball for a 2011 Toyota Venza V6  

Question:

I have a 2011 Venza V6 with a Reese outfitters 4 bike rack that I older and had 2 plates on top for clamping down bikes. My receiver is class iii 500 tongue and 5000 tow. I want to pull my tear that is about 1200 lbs and then have 2 bikes on which would be 30lbs each or possibly 4 bikes at 30lbs each. The bike carrier says max tow capacity is 250 tongue and 2500 tow based on 5000 receiver. The tongue with of trailer is 120lbs. Would I be able to put a 2” ball on the Reese outfitter to pull my tear, or am I setting myself up for failure?

Your vehicle would be able to tow your tear drop trailer at 1,200 pounds with your Reese Outfitter bike rack. We carry a variety of tow balls but you first need to determine the diameter of the Reese bike carrier hole so it matches the diameter of the ball shank.

Some common sized ball shank diameters we carry include 1 Inch # 63845, 1 1/4 inch # A-90, or 3/4 inch # 19258 diameter. The below video provides a good overview of one of these three.
