Installing MaxxFan Deluxe 12V Roof Vent in Bathroom

Question:

2019 Jayco Melbourne 24K In the information section for #MA00-07500K, it states not for installation above showers, tubs, or cooking range surfaces, but can it be in a bathroom ceiling area that is not over the shower. My RV has a vent over the toilet area off to the side of the shower and I would like to replace it with one of these or maybe one of the four speed manual models. If these will not work can you suggest a compatible up grade to the fan I have. Also my wife can not decide between the white or the smoke model, she like the smoke but does not want too much light to come in. Thank you.

If you won't be installing the fan directly above the shower then you can use the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K. The reason we have this restriction is simply because of it's powered nature. The moisture that could sneak into the assembly when mounted directly above a shower, tub, or range cooking surface could potentially mess with the electrical components but this won't be an issue if it's off to the side like what you described.

This is a really nice option that features a powered vent lid so you don't have to crank it open and an integrated rain shield that will let you open the vent in any weather.

Both this smoke colored assembly and the White # MA00-07000K will allow light into the trailer but the translucent nature of the smoke model will let a bit more of it in. If you'd rather not have as much sunlight coming in the white model is the way to go.

I have attached a couple of short video reviews that you can check out as well.
