Will thule Roof Cargo Carrier #th859xt fit on a 2007 Jeep Compass with factory installed side rails but no crossbars?

The Rola Roof Cargo Carrier, part # TH859XT, requires a crossbar spread between 20 inches and 37 inches. The crossbar spread is the distance between the front crossbar and the rear crossbar on center. Since your 2007 Jeep Compass only came with the side rails, you will need crossbars to mount any roof cargo carrier.
For a roof rack, I recommend looking at the Thule Wingbar, # TH711220, with the # TH460R feet and # THKIT3067 fit kit.
